Nia Move: Open Stance
Daily practice: Stand in place, with your feet hip width apart, and your toes pointed forward. Relax your feet and keep your knees flexible or spring loaded. This will help you balance. Practice by walking a few steps, then stopping in Open Stance. Imagine that you are standing on two railroad tracks. As you do it, vocalize the word balance. Practicing Open Stance improves hip-joint strength and flexibility, for increased comfort in moving.
